Just discovered this. Fantastic article and great writing.

Over the past 2 years, my time has been quite scarce due to university and the day job taking nearly all my time. Although now I am finally a full time freelancer, and as such jQuery Lightbox is receiving as much support as I can throw at it.

In fact, version 1.4 was just released and the wordpress plugin has been updated too! Some of the issues addressed has been ease of install with a nicer tutorial (like yours!), as well as making compression a lot easier. Now if you make a change, all you have to do is run the Makefile “cd”ing into the directory and typing “make” – this is extremely easy on linux/osx machines for windows you will have to google it.
